My engagement and collaboration with WNFE/Think Resilience program stems from being a Deep Transformation Network community member, hence the writings/work of Jeremy Lent; which has broadened and deepened my comprehension of the Tao and Neo-Confucianism. Through my art I bring myself closer to the source, to make my-self see the cosmos as it is, to celebrate the energy and mystery in sensuous detail. I hope my audience will see it – self in a new, more connected way.  Human art gives us glimpses of the truth that art is nature.

Being an Artist, a creative conduit is an act of resilience and resistance to linear thinking and living. Art within the eco-socio-cultural matrix stimulates resilience by generating and stimulating resilience resonance within others, not just human beings but all life.

Consciousness naturally involves, contains and elucidates biological meanings and value, hence nurturing and nourishing mindfulness as the self-unfolds in relationship/s.

This is a subjective review, assessment and action based on observation and experience, without experimental or data to provide empirical evidence. As a deeply embedded human citizen of the Cascadia Bioregion for over forty-three (43) years, imbibing and embodied in its diverse, beautiful ecology and natural communities, bearing witness to the anthropocentric impacts therein, my plan of actions is to co-create and produce the Cascadia Enlivenment & Enchantment 2025 event and conference in Seattle. This is a work in progress, started pre-pandemic, and now being regenerated, with the intentions and objective to create and establish a model for multiple collaborative nodes throughout Cascadia. The focus and primary collaborators of generation in these deep, broad and diverse efforts of co-creating and regenerating a healthy creative and ecological social-ecological systems bioregion will be Indigenous, Artists, Cultural Creatives with Climate and Eco-nomic Activists. As creatives we will find it essential, easy and dynamic to cross-pollinate and connect the dots, embracing a wholistic-integral worldview while transcending disciplines.

I’ll be honest and blunt; when I think of, contemplate the “major sectors” theme, I get overwhelmed cognitively, emotionally and spiritually. Within this massive and complex theme, I’m going to respond to “public policy”. This is where ultimately, if we truly had, have leaders of consequence, decisions driving major changes could occur for authentic resiliency amongst all levels of our sociocultural and political matrix and metrics that are essential to a healthy biological future. The current, wellestablished paradigm of colonial capitalism with the variable mixture of socialist and communist political and socioeconomic systems are all controlled from the top-down politicians, corporations, military industrial complex, engineers, tech-industry, architects, financial hierarchy (Wall Street, Venture Capital, Private Equity, & Hedge Funds), mammalian materialism addicts. Simply put, Artists of all kinds, are left out of the policy and planning, problem solving process. Globalization is a toxic extension on a planetary level, in all dimensions of life on Earth, human and non-human of the Barbaric Heart. The Barbaric Heart is predominately patriarchal, suppressing the fecundity, generativity and fruitfulness of the feminine. - Gordon Wood “In this time of over-globalization, one alternative—re-localization—offers substantial benefits. It creates local jobs, increases the diversity of local occupations and skill sets, and thereby increases social capital—the richness of the relationships between people who live within a region.” – Richard Heinberg Bioregionalism is (re-)localization, and bioregionalism means following, operating within nature’s true abilities, capacities and boundaries, being respectful of limits in relation to reciprocity as humans, biological beings in the biome. As opposed to culture being dominated and controlled by the market economy, a culture of reciprocity and reconciliation with nature unfolds, nullifying anthropocentric hubris so the biosphere retains its health and balance for all species, humanity and our home, the Commons of Earth. What can evolve is a greater love of life and connection to our “Great Green Land”, vast blue waters, and much more, a renewed concept, consciousness of true wealth, health and happiness. As David Bohm states, “My suggestion is that at each state the proper order of operation of the mind requires an overall grasp of what is generally known, not only in formal logical, mathematical terms, but also intuitively, in images, feelings, poetic usage of language, etc.”

Barbaric Heart: “In fact the Barbaric Heart is civilized, for all the good that does it, and has always happily clad itself in the decorous togas of Rome (as the Ostrogoth King Theodoric did), the pinstripes of Wall Street, and the comfy suburbanity of L. L. Bean.” “This is the barbaric calculation: if you can prosper from violence, then you should go ahead and be violent. In short order the Barbaric Heart is lead to conclude that in face prosperity is dependent on violence. Therefore, you should be good at violence, for your own sake and the sake of your country. -- Curtis White

I’ve lived in the Cascadia Bioregion for thirty-nine years, the majority of my life now, and this place feels like home and it has nourished my creative life, imagination deeply through its magnificent beauty beyond what words can adequately articulate. It is much greater than the visual beauty that awes and feeds my sense of wonder, as it is very physical, tangible. We’ll get more into this…

LOVE Nebula Autopoiesis

This artwork is an image of nested scales and scopes as existing in holonic reality. Love is a powerful, regenerative force in sustaining resilience in the universe as well as sentient beings through an integral ecology of mind essential for our health, as well as the health of all the Earth’s flora & fauna.

Autopoiesis refers to a system capable of producing and maintaining itself in relational terms, dynamics, as in Interbeing, with the persistence of Panarchy, a model of “interlinked adaptive cycles occuring at multiple temporal and spatial scales simultaneously.”

1 - Wahl Beauty nurtures harmony and flourishing in the universe, enhancing resilience: Beauty equals, retains, and emphasizes truth and connection to subtlety and the sublime through its presence. Beauty expands the relationship of the soul to spirit and beyond through increased awareness, openness, and perception. Beauty embodies the very drive, creative and evolutionary of the Kosmos toward greater depth and expanding consciousness in the witness, beholder and through empathic capacities.

Beauty embraces us in the timeless now by suspending the other chatter in our brains, creating space to be present in the moment. The freedom of non-duality sustains beauty and truth. Beauty nurtures growth, inspires, and confirms all the potential in the Kosmos.

Beauty has meaning. Decay - entropy is inevitable, unavoidable, and regenerative. One can’t have beauty without decay; they go hand in hand, the Yin and the Yang, the Wabi Sabi.

The vision and objective are for sustainable beauty, transcendence, transmutation, and transformation via translation of all that this wondrous Kosmos provides through my actions and art.
